4/17 was having so much fun knitting this last night that I stayed up past 2:30 working on it. Just finished chart/section B. Used size 5 needles on chart A and B

4/21 Switched to size 4 needles on chart C. On row 47 of chart C now. Beading is a pain. But my goodness, so pretty.

5/3 Decided to make this longer to use up as much yarn as possible. I only made the diamond (looks like a piece from a chandelier). I did not do the lace points beneath it. That means that starting on row 40 I stopped doing the YO’s and, SSK and Ktog and did a straight stockinette between the points. I ended this section on row 49. Then I did the Then I did 3 rows of garter. repeat row 133 pattern of (k, yo, k, yo, k2tog, yo) the rows 1-4 of section D. Then repeat Section B with open mesh continuing in between the points like it does on the section D between the tips. All SSK and Ktog get a CC bead.

I did a garter edge border since the rest of the shawl had one. Plus I hate having leftover yarn so it chewed up more yarn.

With the modification there are over 5000 beads on this. Only 15 yards of yarn leftover.

Well, I finished. The cat of course had to help me take pics. I haven’t blocked it yet, but I can’t wait.

5/11 Holy crud Monkeys. I just blocked the shawl and it grew to a wingspan of over 6’. :) Considering I am over 5’10 that rocks! I am even happier now that I modified the bottom.

1/17/15 - added some pics of how I wear it in the front sometimes. Also I lost 30lbs so ummm I look better now.
