So excited that the gorgeous Paul finally asked for a hand knit! We searched Rav together for a pattern, and P chose the yarn from my stash. Squee!

The pattern was only the spark, I didn’t like the decreases used, so I did my own thing.

Cast on 150 sts. Worked in K3 P3 rib until the thing measured approx 25cm tall and I was about to run out of yarn. 5 rounds of decreases as follows:

Dec round 1. (K3 P2tog P1) to end
Dec round 2. (SSK K1 P2) to end
Dec round 3. (K2 P2tog) to end
Dec round 4. (K2tog P) to end
Dec round 5. (Sl1 K2tog PSSO) to last 2 sts, K2tog

Three needle bind off on the WS for the remaining sts.

The Capretta went quite limp after wet blocking - definitely less spring and memory. Love the softness, but wouldn’t use it again for a hat or anything relying on negative ease for fit. The recipient was very happy though!
