My princess dress was made using parts of the Frozen Elsa Princess Dress Blanket by SarahBeth. I purchased her pattern because I liked the colorways she chose. However, she does not share her yarn choices in the pattern, so I have to remove 1 star from my review because I feel like that’s a pretty important part of any project.

Since I couldn’t just go out and buy the yarn specified in the pattern, I was on the hunt for yarn that I liked, that was soft enough for the intended recipient, and that fit the “Elsa” aesthetic. I couldn’t find two teal-family colors that I liked together, so I wound up using just teal and white for the dress. As such, I heavily modified the pattern to achieve different looks for the bodice and skirt portions. Since I had to modify the bodice/skirt, I also had to modify the cape pieces to make sure everything wound up working together.
