Jan 29 It’s done! It’s done! It’s done! It’s done! It’s doooooooooone!!!!
Jan 28 Half-way done with the second sleeve! The end is nigh! I picked this back up and did the first sleeve a few weeks ago, then I let it languish again. This has been languishing in my WIP bag for too long. I am ready for this puppy to be finished.
Nov 14 Finished the main body. I am loving how it’s progressing. I’ve started one sleeve, but I plan on letting this one rest for a bit again. I have to many Christmas presents to work on. I’ll pick it back up after my Holiday work is done.

This project took a bit of a hiatus while I was finishing a few gifts for people, but now I’m back to working on it. My feelings on this project are mixed. I love the pattern - love, love, love the pattern. I love the colorway. I normally love tosh merino light, however, I don’t think it was the right yarn for this project. A piece of this magnitude needs a little more substance. If I were to make it again, I would definitely use the suggested 80/10/10 instead. It is still turning out beautifully and I cannot wait to wear it.

Still swatching for gauge. As is often the case, I’m too loose. I’ve sized down to a 3 mm for main body, and it’s looking much closer, but we shall see. In better news, Manor is quite possibly the most beautiful dye job I have ever seen. It’s like the North Sea, the sky after the sun sets on Midsummer’s Eve, and the smell of pine covered mountains after the rain. It’s poetry of color.

Just separated the stitches from the main body. It’s starting to take shape and that’s really exciting. Downside is… A fingering weight cardigan takes FOREVER!!!!! I let it rest for a few days, but I need to get some work done on it this weekend.
