This dress is a variation of my Mint Dress with collar and sleeve detail from my Chrysanthemum Dress. This is also my first time working with wool lace and found it behaves much differently than cotton.
Finally washed, blocked, and lined. Didn’t realize how much this wool/silk yarn can stretch out during washing - must have added 12”-16” in length.
Thanks to my friend Krista for modeling the dress for me. She totally rocked this dress.

Nearly 6 months pregnant and this dress still fits comfortably due to the wool/silk blend’s amazing ability to stretch and the stretchy nature of open lacework. At first I was afraid I had stretched the length of the dress out too much during blocking but the extra length actually accommodates for my extra width quite nicely. As the dress stretches out horizontally it shortens.

I really love how this dress and this yarn turned out. It still fits comfortably and look great at 37 weeks pregnant. It’s also been my go-to special occasion maternity dress.
