Notes

Using an app on my Android tablet to colour in these sheets digitally - saves paper, crayons and lots of time! Amazing how many different effects you can get from one square even using the same few colours.

  • App: Autodesk SketchBook (I use Pro but there is a free version.)
  • Save Polly’s sheet (provided with pattern) as a picture file (the easiest way is to take a screen shot), crop with a photo-editing tool if necessary then upload to SketchBook.
  • Choose colours from an infinite palette and use the “fill” tool to add them to separate parts of the square. Once your chosen colours are on the screen you can pick them again using the “eyedropper” tool. (Or - I recently discovered this - you can save them to a custom palette.)

I can happily play with this for hours… perhaps I should get out more!!!

A big thank you to Polly for taking the trouble to give us this incredibly useful facility grinning
