There is no pattern available for this hat, free or not. I used the original pattern (please, see the link above) which is charts for mittens only. No text, no Russian, don’t be afraid!

Feb 2: CO 128 sts. Increased by 16 sts after the brim, then decrease by 6 sts after the blue stripe (6 foxes in total: 6 x 23 = 138 sts).

Feb 3: unraveled to change shade for the fox. I previously used 2 Ply Jumper weight 122 and there was not enough contrast to the black/brown. I changed to FC8 (discontinued) that is a right rust/orange and brighter than 122. 122 shade is more yellow/old gold than orange.

Modified the chart.

Feb 4: the top is knit with an other brown (4 g) but not a Shetland yarn.

Added a big pompon made with an other white yarn than 2 ply Jumper weight.
