This project is simply to document the modifications I made to the legs, head and shell trim of the original Baby Turtle Instructions. Please refer to the original project for some of the details I did not included here.
LEGS:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next around. (18 sc)
Rnds 4-6: sc in each st around. (18 sc)
Rnd 7: decrease over the next 2 sts, 1 sc in next st around. (12 sc)
Rnds 8-11: sc in each st around. (12 sc)
HEAD:
Rnd 1: 6 sc in magic ring.
Rnd 2: 2 sc in each sc. (12 sc)
Rnd 3: sc in each st around (12 sc)
Rnd 4: 2 sc in next st, 1 sc in next around. (18 sc)
Rnd 5: sc in each st around (18 sc)
Rnd 6: 2 sc in next st, sc in next 2 sts around. (24 sc)
Rnd 7: sc in each st around (24 sc)
Rnd 8: decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in next 2 sts around. (18 sc)
Rnd 9: sc in each st around (18 sc)
Rnd 10: decrease over the next 2 sts, sc in next sts around. (12 sc)
Rnds 11-16: sc in each st around. (12 sc).
I “pinched” the neck a bit and tacked it in place to give Buttercup a more “heads up” appearance.
SHELL TRIM:
-- Join color A (white) with a sc, ch 5.
-- Drop color A to the back of your work
-- Join color B (yellow) with a sc in the st immediately following the join made with color A and ch 5.
» Repeat the following around:
-- Drop color B to the back of your work.
-- Pick up color A and bring to the front (over color B) and sc in the next available st, ch 5.
-- Drop color A to the back of your work.
-- Pick up color B and bring to the front (over color A) and sc in the next available st, ch 5.
