Since I was using Worsted weight yarn I only cast on 28 stitches. Just remember you need to cast on in multiples of 4 for a 2by2 ribbing to come out right.

The instructions say to cast off using the kitchener stitch seam but that won’t allow the ribbing to line up right. I didn’t feel like playing with it but luckily a ton of people already did the thinking and shared it. Here is a link to the video and written instructions so the ribs line up.
