I meant to put this up a long time ago (back in February). As a result, I’ve forgotten details about hook size. I will try to figure that out.

This is a shawl made for my sweet friend, Connie, who LOVES watermelon as much as me. We are crazy for it, and we talk about it and eat it all summer, sometimes emailing pictures or texting about it, too. So I called us “watermelon sisters.” One day, whilst making another shawl, I thought, “This shape is like a slice of watermelon.” and got the delicious idea of making a special shawl for my Watermelon Sister. Thus, a fun shawl was born.

My husband asked if I could make “seeds” on it. I replied that of course I could…but I just wanted it to be melon-esque…not juvenile. LOL
