I used Cleo’s pattern as a base and made some modifications.

Because of yarn substitution my gauge was different from the pattern one. I made calculations to obtain the correct measurements, but I ended up with a positive ease while I wanted a negative one. I then decided to ignore calculations and try following instructions for size S and cup A… And I was lucky!

Seed stitch dosn’t look pretty in my ribbon yarn, so I made cups in stockinette stitch.
I also changed chevron lace in V-shape lace, an bordered it with two rows of reverse stockinette.
I didn’t make increases and just continued straight on, customizing length.

It wasn’t necessary to sew the elastic band to fit, but I passed an elastic thread through stitches in cast-on and cast-off rows to avoid border rolling. It works when I have the top on, I don’t mind if the border still rolls in my drawer :)

Ho usato come base il modello Cleo e ho fatto alcune modifiche.

Avendo usato un altro filato, il campione era diverso da quanto richiesto; ho fatto i miei calcoli per ottenere le giuste misure, ma mi è uscito abbondante mentre lo volevo aderente. Allora ho deciso di ignorare i calcoli e provare a seguire semplicemente le istruzioni per la taglia S… e sono stata fortunata!

Con la mia fettuccia la grana di riso non è carina, così ho fatto le coppe a maglia rasata.
Ho anche fatto la parte traforata con un motivo a V anziché a testa in giù, e l’ho bordato con due righe di maglia rasata rovescia.
Non ho fatto aumenti, ho solo proseguito dritto fino alla lunghezza voluta.

Non era necessario aggiungere l’elastico perché il top stesse a posto, ma ho passato un filo elastico tra i punti del ferro d’avvio e di quello d’intreccio, per evitare che il bordo si arrotoli. Il che funziona quando ho il top addosso, e anche se il bordo si arrotola lo stesso quando è nel cassetto… chi se ne frega! :)
