About the pattern: I love this construction and it’s easy to knit, but I found the pattern a bit unclear and I’m really unhappy with the lack of any kind of gauge or measurement or sizing. Going by eye is not my thing, even more when socks are for someone who can’t try it on as I go.

I followed the pattern as is (60 sts, 40 r plain between toe and heel gusset, 30 r gusset) but this socks ended up to be bigger than expected.
Gauge is not specified in the pattern, and I knew my gauge was different from the suggested gauge on the label of suggested yarn, but I didn’t know the difference was so much.
No problem, I have a brother with big feet.

I worked the leg as long as I had yarn. A single ball was enough to make a single sock, so I have enough yarn left to make another pair.

Riguardo al modello: adoro questa costruzione ed è facile da fare, ma ho trovato le spiegazioni non proprio chiarissime e sono molto contrariata dall’assenza di un qualsiasi tipo di campione o misura o taglia. Andare ad occhio non fa per me, soprattutto quando i calzini sono per qualcuno che non li può provare man mano.

Ho seguito pari pari il modello (60 m, 40 giri uniformi prima del tassello del tallone, tassello 30 giri) ma le calze sono uscite più grandi di quanto mi aspettassi.
Non c’è il campione nel modello, e sapevo che il mio campione era diverso da quello indicato nell’etichetta del filato consigliato, ma non sapevo che la differenza fosse tanta.
No problem, ho un fratello coi piedi grandi.

Ho lavorato la gamba finché avevo filo. Un singolo gomitolo è bastato a fare un singolo calzino, quindi mi resta abbastanza filo per farne un altro paio.
