Notes

I’m going to try to make this bigger by using a bigger hook. I want to keep it light so it wont be too hot so I’m sticking with sport weight. I only have one ball of this yarn so hopefully this will work out.

R2. There really are 12 complete repeats that takes you right to the end 63 sts
R3. After doing 11 repeats I had to put two dc in the next stitch and then dc in the next 3 sts to the end to get stitch count of 75
R4. After doing 13 repeats I did 2 dc in next st and dc in next 5 stitches to end to get 89 stitches

On the last row I changed things a little bit. I started off with the chain three and hdc in same space, shell (hdc, dc, tc, dc, hdc) with sc in spaces between… then ended with hdc, dc, tc in chain 3 at the end. Then stitched the two half shells at the edge together and slip stitched (making sure to just pick up one or two loops at the very edge so it doesn’t make too thick a seam) up to the yoke. I added two vintage buttons that belonged to my mom (Maya’s great grandma who has passed away) to the yoke.
