Notes

I don’t know how old this crochet hook is but it is actually 4.25 mm.

I’m going to make a bunch of these for an ornament exchange using various colors of mystery yarn from my stash in addition to the yarn mentioned above. Red, Blue, and Green… ho ho ho.

Small changes I made…

At the end of the last row of main color I chained 3 (instead of 10 or 8) and connected it to the top chain of the turning chain two from row 2 to make a small loop. When I added the fuzzy white yarn I crocheted in front loop only (It looks nice in the back too) and I single crocheted down to the end and then put two single crochets in top chain of the chain loop I made and cut off. I used a long piece of elastic silver cord to hang - tying each end to the loops on the skates and then offsetting the skates I held the loop of silver cord together and tied a knot in the middle. This leaves a nice loop for hanging.

Of course I couldn’t resist adding a little bling.

The blue skates show what it looks like from the back after adding the white in front loops only.

I hate fun fur… but those came out really cute LOL Those are for people who live in Alaska :O) I did find that if you work in the front loops…. and I did all the way around to the back loops too… it all just sticks straight up in the air!! If you work in both loops it works better but all the fur is on one side… so I’ll have to keep playing. Oh, and I had to give them a hair cut.
