Okay, so per the instructions I’m going to work 8 shells although the chart only shows 6. It just shows enough to explain how it is supposed to go together. So 8 shells is (30 ch x 8) + 25 ch + 1 chain (the red starting chain on the left) + 1 turning ch (on right side) = 267 chains. Each section of chain loops requires 25 chain and each shell needs 5.
I’m going to use a skein of baby yarn from my stash. A friend gave it to me with no label so I have no idea about it except it feels like acrylic/sport weight. It is pretty with subtle color changes and reminds me of a Monet waterlily painting. I hope this one skein is enough.
Now I think it is an older version of red heart TLC baby in the colorway bunny print
I had just enough yarn to finish the pattern without the edging. I was thinking about buying another skein on ebay but since I finished the main part I think I’ll try to figure out another way to finish the edges. I found a another skein of the same yarn in another colorway. It is the closest thing I have. I joined the yarn and added the chain loop part of the pattern it completed the point of the triangle and then I just single crocheted around the whole thing. Now I just need to block it.
