Well, after rescuing the neckline, I quite like it! I should have used a single crochet cast off for the bottom hem instead of the normal one which is a little tight and a normal cast off instead of the crocheted one for the button bands which are a bit floppy. However, I will wear it unbuttoned at the hem most of the time, I assume. In addition, ideally I would have liked it a bit shorter. But the sleeves length is really great. And I really love the cotton sockyarn for summer clothing!

Sewn on buttons - and discovered that the neckline is indeed waaay too big in the back. Will regulate it with a woven through drawstring, just not sure if I will go for a crocheted version or a satin band. sleeves 35 cm after arm pit after washing.
Haah! Thanks to the great folks of Ravelry, I was able to tighten the neckline: I did a row of crochet slip stitches around the whole neckline, using a 3 mm hook on each front 8 eyelets and a 2 mm hook on the back eylets - like it much better now!
July 18th
Finished 2nd sleeve after a 10 days break. Now just have weave in ends, wash and add buttons.
July 4th
Finished 1st sleeve at 3/4 length - 6 eylet ridges with 6 rows plain, 4 garter ridges for cuff. Will decrease less dramaticly for 2nd sleeve, 1st one is a little tight in the arm pit.
June 30th
Finished body and button bands. Used a normal bind off for the bottom hem, not sure if that might be too tight. Picked up 2 stitches every 3 rows for button bands, did 4 garter ridges and place button holes every 15 stitches (simple yarn over buttonhole). Used a single crochet cast off for button bands.
Picked up 86 stitches for the first sleeve, intend to decrease every 4th row in the beginning.
June 28th
Reached 35 cm. Placed a removable stitch marker there so that I can measure from there on and do not have to lay out the whole thing when measuring. Plan to do another 20-22 cms.
June 25th
Made a try-on - glad the neckline is not too wide. Decided to add another set of eylet rows (without the increases of course) at the waist, k8, k2tg, yo
June 22nd
Separated Sleeves - neck seems to be on the wide side, but might adjust with a drawstring through the first row of increase holes. CO 5 stitches under each arm
