I’m tired of all my current projects and since Crystal is having a boy this time there needs to be a manly sweater.

Cason is due for his induction tomorrow morning at 6 am so I’m working on this again.

Finished the sweater body and I’m moving on to the mistake ribbing.

First sleeve down! It looks a bit long for the body… I’m pretty sure there’s some mistake in the pattern. Guess I’ll go read through the comments on the pattern and see if anyone else had issues or has fixes.

Argh! The second sleeve is done but Jesus, the pattern is kind of a mess. I’m gonna have to rip out the body bind off and add the poorly explained extra 1.5 inches and then redo the mistake rib and bind off. It sounds like the collar is gonna be a pain the ass too and I need an extra ball of yarn for all this shit. Hopefully there’s not a huge issue with dye lots. *angry face* At least I found a cute applique for the front.

Done save for the applique and buttons I have yet to buy. I hope I can find some orange to match the fish.
Pattern Shit
After doing some bizarre kfb that left a hole, I ripped back and am now doing kfb, k1 before each market and kfb after. This should keep the purl type-bars aligned.
Sleeves onto scrap yarn on R15.
Body finished at row 54; 10 rows of mistake rib.
Sleeves with 40 plain rows (including the four rows to adjust stitch count) and 10 of rows mistake rib.
10 rows of mistake rib on 48 sts, picked up and knit at about 2 for every 3 sts, for the button bands.
I used this bind off exclusively.
