I’ve seen the book in question, but that was only a brief look while I was in Netherlands this May. I have worked out the sheep chart from the photographs of Trollenwol’s Red Sheep Shawl, and am working it out on finer yarn than the original.
Growing rapidly. A whole row of sheep (plus extra ones each end as the side strips got wider - 15) on the way down to Somerset on 1st September.
20.9 - at Tim and Denise’s for the weekend. I decided it was big enough, carefully crocheted either side of the steek (half at a time, as I couldn’t reach the bottom until I’d cut it half open) and then realised that the second skein of green yarn, just wound up, wasn’t in the bag. On Sunday I found it down the side of the sofa - Goblin, I believe…
13.10 - the edging went on and on and on - there’s over 700 stitches going round, but I’ve deliberately not counted. Knitted the last row on the train to work this morning, started to cast off at lunchtime.
14.10 Cast of last night just before going to bed. Stitched the hem down this morning before work. It’ll need a bit of a firm blocking; I don’t think I picked up quite enough stitches for the facing/hem. But it’ll work.
18 November - put tassels on all three corners. Because I wanted to.
