I would probably have no idea how to crochet, to begin with, in other words, as a logic result of this fact, the following photo series would not exist & the featured stole either! Wouldn´t be a major loss in the crochet-history of the world, just a minor one & my closet wouldn´t miss much either .
But let’s pretend I was a princess, who knew how to crochet, well then I probably could have managed to fix me a godawful brown stole, which would still look successfully godawful odfashioned 35 years later with the only comfort that I wouldn´t have to wear it, since I´m no princess. I definitely have turned into a queen in all these years, don´t have a kingdom though, only a queendom of colour, imagination, freedom & ratified madness. If I was a princess I would look more seductive in this vintage piece, but I´m none, the princess is as nonexistent as my twin sister.
Maybe the stole doesn´t exist either ? No, this back door doesn´t work out, the BW-fotos tell another story, you can spot me, crocheting this darn piece ….& I´m even wearing a nice little handmade bolero (in a happy orange)…knitting all the time, even at school, in public & most of the time very secretly! This attitude hasn´t changed much…….only lots of years have passed ever since.
So I want to share a little wisdom here again: Since I´m no princess any more & since the stole is obviously still boringly brown, don´t waste any time here, move on & try to find a queen, who is able to produce something more extravagant ….
