When I realized the scarf is not knit in the round I already had finishes my 5th round. Great :D So I started over again and modified the pattern for knitting in the round. Here are my notes:
Cast on 252 sts (or another amount of stitches that can be divided by 7)

• round1: k2, p3, k1, p1 repeat til end of round
• round2: k1, yo, k1, sl1, p2, pass sl over the previous p2, k1,p1 repeat til end of round
• round3: k3, p2, k1, p1 repeat til end of round
• round4: sl1, k2, pass sl over the previous k2, p1, yo, p1, k1, p1 repeat til end of round
