Designer knits her socks on size 1 needles and recommends a size 3 for this pattern. So use needles 2 sizes up from your typical needles for fingering weight socks!
Made from 2 super skeins composed of mini skeins joined together. One superball was in pinks, the other was in dark greens through dark pinks and blues in variegated color ways. The effect was rather like a log cabin theme--generally solid pinks played off against the variegated yarns.
This yarn came mainly from mini skeins traded and collected at CFR6 in 2014.

I just realized that I am doing this pretty much the same way the designer did her black and orange version, except, she used a single black skein against her orange minis, while I used several semi-solid pinks against my variegated minis.

In retrospect, I would use size 4 or even 5 needles if I made this again. I use 3’s to make socks, and I think this us intended to have a slightly more loose gauge than socks. Fit is okay, but could be a bit more loose. Edges definitely are better folded under.
