I am trying out several different stitch patterns with my first goes at longdraw.
I used 6mm needles with the 3ply yarn.
I used 5mm needles with the 2ply yarn.
I used 5.5mm needles with the chain-ply yarn.
The first 4 pictures are of the 3ply yarn.
The next 4 pictures are of the 2ply yarn.
The next picture is of the chain-ply yarn.
The 3ply was definitely the most even finished yarn, with the chain-ply magnifying the unevenness of the singles and being the least even of the finished yarns.
The stitch patterns based on garter stitch, moss stitch, and welting seemed the most successful. The stocking stitch and the 1x1 rib looked the least even (the 2x2 rib wasn’t so bad), and the lace and cables got a bit lost in the fluffiness.
