July 26 Update : progress is slow. It felt too hot to knit at the beginning of July and now that it’s cooled down considerably I’m trying to rush to finish. I’m almost down to separating the sleeves so absolutely no where near done. Sigh. Shouldn’t have procrastinated so much obviously.

July 30 Update : just ordered vintage glass buttons from etsy for my Miette!

August 1 Update : body is finished! Onto the sleeves. Oh the dreaded sleeves…

August 4 Update : I decided that because this is very summery given it’s white and meant to go over my red sundress, I didn’t do the 3/4 sleeves. Instead I simply did 10 rows of twisted rib and cast off. Front bands are done, so all that’s left is the neckline and waiting for my buttons to arrive!

August 5 Update : DONE! Just waiting on buttons to arrive! Can’t wait to wear it with my dresses!

August 19 Update :Buttons are on! Not the 1920’s glass buttons (slight miscalculation on size), but fun plastic ones from likely the same era the cardi is styled after and from France. Just need to photograph, but it’s eleventy billion degrees and I can’t bear the thought of putting a cardi on no matter for how short a time!
