This is certainly one of those patterns that looks more challenging than it is.

This pattern reminds me of the Cabled afghans my great-grandmother, Gigi, made for each of her 5 granddaughters when they got married. So when I received a wedding invite from a friend I wanted to carry on the tradition with this beautiful pattern.

Now, the only trick is to get it done prior to the wedding and not have it in my lap during the ceremony!
