I really like phildar partner yarns and the girl really likes the atlas cardigan and suddenly it all came together. She choose the colours, I don’t dislike them but I’m not in love. But she is 7 and she knows what she wants.
02/01 took a deep deep breath and cut a steek! First time! My sewing machine couldn’t handle the stretchiness of the knit fabric so I had to sew by hand. Normally I don’t mind handsewing at all but I got really nervous because of the steek. It looks good, I hope it will hold.

Oh dear. My steek didn’t hold. Putting it aside now to gather courage to rip it all back and start over. Seriously upset.

10/01 ripped everything back, only have the sleeves left and started over. I will not let a steek beat me!

23/3 Yay! Knitting part is done! I need to sew, cut a steek and finish everything now. Decided to knit the button band and the band on the other side first before cutting the steek. I’m still a little afraid of the whole cutting part but I did gain a bit of confidence after the little fleas cardi for my daughter. And I will be so relieved that this one is off my needles!
