2015-01-11: I really like this pattern, but I haven’t knit a hat without a ‘proper’ ribbing at the brim edge before.

As I’m knitting this, I’m thinking it would look amazing as a fair isle style, with all the twisted knit stitches in one colour and the plain knit and purl stitches in another colour.

I’m also wondering if the pattern could be adapted a bit to other projects like mittens or sweaters for my dachshunds.

I was thinking the colour changes would really interfere with the pattern, but I like the effect so far.
