Notes
  • For the Latvian braids, to avoid tangling of the yarns, I cut the dominant color, so that instead of working with the whole skein I only used a piece of yarn that was more easily untangled while knitting.
  • Finished the left mitten on November 8th.
  • The yardage for the dominant color may not be completely accurate, because there is no yardage listed for the skein, so it’s only an estimate.
  • I used almost exactly one skein of the backgroud color, with less than 1 gram left over.
  • In hindsight, this wasn’t an ideal color combination for showing off the colorwork pattern. There isn’t quite enough contrast.
  • If I ever knit this pattern a second time, I’m going to use a slightly larger needle.
