My daughter has had her eye on this pattern ever since I brought home a print-out of it. As soon as the other cardigan was finished she commissioned me to get started on this one. She picked out the yarn herself, evil child has great taste. She wound the yarns herself too.

5 Sept 10: This just flows off the needles without needing too much brain power or effort.

8 Sept 10: Started the lace pattern and attached the second skein just as soon as I started. The pattern is so easy to remember.

9 Sept 10: Stayed in today so I finished much of the body as we watched 4 films on DVDs.

11 Sept 10: Nearly there. My daughter decided she wanted the sleeves to go past her elbows. With 4 skeins of this yarn, it’s very do-able. The body was cast off after a little over 19 inches. I will get more length from blocking though. Now working on the second sleeve and should be finished before the end of the day, then blocking tomorrow.

12 Sept 10: I ended up with 27 inches final length from neck to hem. I added sleeves 9inches long with 4 rows of garter stitch cuff to mirror the neckline and hem. Five buttons instead of 3 and blocked to size.

This will come in real handy at the mall, the cinema and when winter eventually comes to Dubai.
