My first provisional cast on went fine :-) I’m a bit worried I won’t have enough yarn but am plunging in anyway. Using 3.25mm needles for size M brim, will size up to the L on 3.75mm needles for the rest of the hat.

Really pleased with how this turned out! Finished a few weeks ago, it has been in constant use ever since. The double brim is super cosy, there will be double brims on all hats I knit from now on I think! And the yarn is lovely as well, to knit and wear (colours are most accurate in the 3rd & 4th photos).

Simple but brilliant pattern and no doubt I will get tons of use out of it, in my opinion it’s well worth the price even it it looks expensive for a ‘plain’ hat.
