A total joy to knit, easy and fun and it turned out lovely! I really enjoyed the construction method, increasing or decreasing as you go to match the stitch count you need. I was a bit worried about doing so but it worked out great and was very relaxed.

Making this for my grandmother-in-law’s 90th birthday - I do love to knit for people who appreciate it :-)

The yarn is incredibly soft and squishy - absolutely gorgeous to feel, and pretty straightforward to knit with (a bit ‘hairy’ for doing a lot of ripping back - fortunately I haven’t had to yet!)

About to reach the end of the garter section. This part has been pretty quick, I’ve done it in brief bursts over the last week. Only annoying thing right now is that the cats got hold of my 2nd & 3rd balls of wool, and when I was rewinding them I realised they’d managed to break lengths off. So I’m having to finish off this bit with small lengths & weave them in as I go. Pesky animals!

So on 28 Sept I frogged it :-) Managed to mess up the increase row & first row of leaves, and the yarn was such a pain to pick up again, I just started over. But it’s such a quick knit that only 2 weeks of intermittent knitting later, I’m about to cast off.

Finished! SO quick and not difficult at all! Fantastic result with the yarn too, really squishy and soft but it still shows the pattern well. And the recipient was very pleased! My first stitchnerd pattern but it definitely won’t be the last.
