Notes

This took less than 24 hours--and it was a normal day filled with twin preschoolers at my house. I also lined it with a polar fleece layer so it would be warm enough for winter here. (windchill of -40 tonight…)

Liner addition for cutting the prairie winds: lay hat flat, cut out two pieces of recycled sweater or fleece that are a little bigger than hat (stretching matters) and did one seam on the sewing machine to make a hat liner. Stitched it in by hand in the hat.

One skein of Puffin made about 1 and 2/3rds hats. I made one for a birthday party present (twins’ school friend) and another to donate to keep newcomers to Canada/refugees warm this winter.

Modelled by a twin who already has plenty of his own hats. He hardly noticed me trying it on him and taking it away. :)
