I used basic pattern “Owl Henriette” with some modifications to get “a doctor looking owl”.
-
I used white cotton on the body, started on row 18 of the body and finished on 29. On the row 30 (using the beige colour) I picked only back loops of each stitch, which allowed me to crochet front loops for the free edge of the robe later when the body was completed and stuffed. The back detail (see on the picture) I also used white cotton from row 31 to row 40, then changed to dark beige colour picking only back loops to crochet the tail.
-
Added an edge (where the robe is ending) - two rows of single crochet.
-
Sew on pocket (from 6 slipped stitches) and button strip.
4.For a hat I crocheted a flat round of desired diameter (I did 4 round rows), than picking only back loops, crocheted straight few rows.
5.For sleeves I made a chain of 5 slip stitches and was crocheting in rounds, increasing one stitch at each end of it every row. Then I inserted wings into them and fixed them.
6.Glasses and stethoscope were made of a wire.
7.A little bottle I bought in a craft shop, wrapped few loops of wire around and hooked it to the wing.
