My daughter (12 yrs old) was questioning why I have the addi knitting machine but wasn’t using it. After watching a youtube demo, she decided to make some tubes for me the stitch together and border. She told me the trick to making attractive tubes was to not try to go fast so that the stitching looks even with no dropped stitches. She used the addi knitting machine, however she said she was working on one of the singer kids machines also - harder to use but totally do-able. She made 10 tubes at 83 rounds each. I secured the ends with slip stitch. Single crochet around each tube. Join tubes with slip stitch. Weave in ends. Single crochet around the whole blanket with 3 single crochets in the corners. 1 round of double crochet, 3 doubles in each corner. Alternate from post stitch and back post stitch till the edging has sufficient rounds (I use at least 5 rounds minimum). Single crochet or a round of reverse single crochet. Done. Was enjoyable knowing that we created something together. I think she basically wanted to prove all those naysayers who said the machine is worthless WRONG.
