April 9-gauge swatch on size 5 needles is 22st X 32 rows
April 10 - gauge swatch on size 4 needles was 24 st x 30 rows
To adjust for the gauge issues-becuase I don’t want to go down another needle size-my 3’s are being used atm-I am doing the 40” bust instead of the 38”. I think that should give me the fit I need-I have broad shoulders anyways and I didn’t adjust for that on my last sweater
April 13-cast on (first time with crochet cast on) and got to the first color change (I did ten rows grey and then started the color) I think I will not cut each end but rather do vertical floats…hopefully it looks good!
Got a bit screwed up by the “at the same time” instructions but I was only a row off and now it’s all on track.
I’m loving the pattern - so quick and easy.
April 27- took sleeves out. added stiches but evened it all out in the end.
May 2 - finished neck increases and started body decreases. this is flying by!! almost ready to start new skein of the grey
July 6- This is sort of hibernating…too hot to work on, but I’m a good way past the waist shaping
October 19--picked this back up again, about another 5 or 6 inches left on the body
October 24- started ribbing at 17.5 inches of body. ribbed in grey. starting first sleeve.
October 25 - Started decreases at 3”. 2nd grey row after 3rd blue stripe.

Stopped decreasing at 62 stitches…because they seem to be going to be too tight if I go to 58.

Finished first sleeve!! Made it slightly longer, wanted to have one final blue stripe right before ribbing. Did 10 rows of ribbing. Started second sleeve.

Started decreases on 2nd sleeve in same spot. After 2nd grey row after 3rd blue stripe.
