The pattern is so simple. It could be even smaller, maybe starting with 8sc or so. It’s spread out in a long blog post, so here’s the short of it:

R1: 10sc in a magic ring.
R2: 2sc in ea. st. (20 sts)

For 9 rows (R3-11): 20sc in the round.

For 6 rows (R12-17): 10sc flat.

Fold inside out, close heel w 4 sl. Open up sock.

For 13 rows or so (R18-30): 22 sc in the round.
On the first, pick up 6 along heel, 10 along instep, 6 along heel.

For loop: ch10, sl in 1st ch.
