3/26/14: CO 9 sts., using provisional cast-on. Knit 4 rows in Stockinette Stitch (Knit one row, purl one row), place CO stitches on 2 DPNs, pick up one stitch on each side of knitted rectangle. Distribute stitches evenly across 4 DPNs.

Row 1: Knit
Row 2: Knit 1, KFB, K1, K1, KFB, K to 2 stitches before end of second needle, KFB, K1, K1, KFB, K to last 2 stitches of row, KFB, K1.

Alternate these 2 rows until toe box is finished. (See Fish Lips Kiss Heel pattern).

I don’t have my sister’s foot around right now (or any of the rest of her, for that matter), so I can’t add the rest of the pattern here, but basically, follow the cable pattern for the DROPS socks, and incorporate Fish Lips Kiss Heel when you get to it. (:

7/31/14: Nixing the toe-up. Cuff-down instead. And changing patterns, too. And nixing the FLK heel. I’m doing a regular flap-and-gusset instead.

12/24/14: Welp. I decided to nix every single last change I made and I knit it as the pattern said. Turned out lovely, my sister adores them.
