11/2/15 48 Completed Squares! 67% complete! Fun knit for sure. Now that I’ve been using Tristan’s BRQ I realize I love the Finished Object. Can’t wait to have one of my own.

2/24/15: 40 Completed Squares! 48% complete! Gosh I love knitting these. Not sure if it’s the instant gratification or the memories of the socks that came before. I would love to just keep knitting another another another, but I’m not knitting socks fast enough. Sweaters have derailed me. Thinking each boy needs a color themed one of their own…crazyness!

9/9/14: 32 Completed Squares! 40% complete! Rather than a square a day, being back to work has slowed me to two squares a week. So progress will be much slower from here on out. Casting on more self striping socks so I can have leftovers to use.

8/27/14: Getting very low on my square knitting yarns. Will have to go back to knitting socks. Was trying to zoom through as many as I could while on maternity leave and it’s fun. Afraid it will turn into a slog if not. Have plenty of sock scrapes but want to keep with the stripes.

8/14/14: Realizing that I have enough striping scrapes to make about 35 unique squares. I have loads and loads of self-striping sock yarn that I haven’t knit socks with yet. So I need to get on that! Knitting the groups of 4 in color clusters. Did a pink/red group. Next a purple group. Plenty for another purple and then a lot for greys/blacks. Need more reds and blues.

Would like to do a similar rainbow diagonal layout as used for the Vivid. If I do then Purple will be the main color.

Have knit a varigated grey and a verigated red. Don’t want to go as high as half the blanket in solids or tonal varigated but will need some if I want to finish this sooner rather than later. Currently have 12 completed squares and anxious to knit more!

7/24/14: Had thought 12-14 squares a year for 3 years, that’s the pace that I knit socks. But realizing that will make a blanket 6x7 squares, 42” x 49” is not big enough.

Thinking it should be 49” x 77” or 7x11 squares for 77 squares which is a lot more than 3 years worth of socks.

Maybe I should do 30 solid colored ones to tone it down and place between the loud self-striping color ways.

To finish in 3 years that’s 26 squares a year. That’s one every other week.
