The Buttons - just like Easter eggs, dark coloured, decorated with Wax Carving.
Yarn colours - my fathers hair as long as I’ve been observing.
Colour mix and patterns - nostalgic old cottage houses, painted in dark, with white window shutters and flower beds blooming under them…

Worked the instructions of the “short” version but elongated it to my desired length. Added rows in the underarm part and after side decrease.
I wanted to make this with a fair isle pattern but struggled initally:
- no one on Ravelry appear to have used fair isle on Mrs. Garter before, I wondered whether the pattern construction is not suitable for this?
- no one in Ravelry has uploaded any projects of Leinen Los in fair isle - again, I wondered whether the yarn works well with two-colour knitting.
If any of you have similar struggles, I can just assure this works very fine! Both the pattern is very friendly to add whatever “decorations” to it, and the yarn lends itself to fair isle extremely nicely.
Stitch definition in two-colour part is even better than in plain knitting, I would encourage anyone considering to use this yarn for a such a technique.
Very happy with the result! I am very rarely truly happy with the things I knit, but this is one of such cases :)

Please note the pattern used, with some tiny modification. Probably the nicest pattern I’ve ever encountered, and suits my buttons so well!
The whole project actually started with the buttons; I just couldn’t resist seing how yarn and buttons fit each other…
