Notes

Testknit of this beautiful design by Diana.

This shawl is going to be a gift for my mother-in-law, on her birthday in Sept.
I love the design so much that I’ll make another one for me too.

25 July
Casting on :-) Yay!
The patterns looks really user-friendly.
I love all the tables - they make everything nice and clear.

This is definetly not a 4-ply yarn, I’d say it looks more sport-like or even DK. I’m still not sure if it’s the right thing for this project, but I really need to destash.

26 July
Switched to longer cable needle.
Need to watch out all the time as I have a tendency to change the direction of the cables - outwards instead of inwards.

30 July
4 more repeats and ready to start border.

2 Aug
Starting 2nd skein.

7 Aug
Halfway through the border.

10 Aug
Blocking.

Next time I’d use yarn with better stitch definition.

Brilliant pattern and instructions - Diana did a great job! (all the ladies in the Old Town love it too ;-)
