I am going to knit this slightly modified - not so dramatic a curve to the bottom fronts!
I am always amazed at how fast people knit things….so I’m setting a personal challenge to myself! Knit ONE BALL of yarn a day! Since this design calls for 9 balls, that means I could have it knit in 9 days! Giving myself a day or two for seaming up….washing and blocking….well….let’s make it a 2 week project - goal March 17
Cast on March 3 - one ball
March 4 - one ball - it was close to midnight, but I finished that ball
March 5 - busy day - need to catch up!
March 6 - serius slacking going on :)
March 10 - back and sleeves are done….this could be done by the 17th…I lengthened the back….so I am not sure how this will affect the fronts……tomorrow…. :)
March 14 -wasted a day dithering about the cardigan front shaping…..that’s what happens when I change things up :)
But, I had a quiet think and we are good to go….made it to the underarm…..just might have the knitting done by March 17
March 16 - knitting done - started seaming! The tricky bit will be picking up and knitting a rib…up one front, around the back, and down the other front….wish me luck!
The button band went great, and I’ve just washed it in Soak so it will take a couple of days to dry.
March 22 - button on and ready for photos…but the weather is not cooperating….it is Spring….but it’s freezing and there is snow everywhere!
March 26 - we went to the Butterfly Conservatory in Cambridge to take photos - not the best place for photos - the light is very harsh - but it was warm and humid - very summery!
