The front and back knit up easily…simple stocking stitch, but oh my! What a glorious fabric it makes!
Learned to crochet with an online course by Michael Selleck of the Crochet Crowd….then did Lisa Richardson’s crochet club motifs (just one of each) so after many many…I think 5 starts and much frogging……I felt ready to start the sleeves last night. Only one row has had to be ripped out so far, so I think I’m good :)
I hope this looks as good as it feels….seriously in love with this interesting, unique, quirky, yarn :)
OK, I’ve finished sewing this up. I don’t really wear Bulky yarn knits, not wanting to add bulk :) but I loved the fabric of this and as I expected (hoped) once washed and blocked, the drape of the fabric and crochet is amazing! Luckily I didn’t put the rib on the crochet sleeves….as they are now slightly longer than I expected, but it’s sort of a luxurious length, if you know what i mean :)
Once thing I have figured out with pullover sweaters…..versus cardigans…..the button band on the cardigan gives you a vertical line that lengthens the sweater and makes you look slimmer…yes it does! V necklines are good too! I didn’t want to change the neckline on this sweater though. Adding a long necklace to a pullover does the same thing, so I’m off to look for the perfect long necklace to wear in my ta da finished project photos! :)
