TEDDY

Rnd 23: sc2tog around, finish off - leave a tail to thread through any remaining stitches and draw up to close any remaining hole.

Sew head to body - making sure to orient your marked stitch to the top of your work, secure your last st - then thread your yarn up through the head to just above the left of the nose. Run a stitch through about 8sts of the row, then run your thread back down to the neck pull to indent the make an indent that accentuates the nose.
Use some black yarn to stitch a nose. Sew buttons on for eyes. Alternatively, if you’re making the teddy for an infant, perhaps stitch the eyes on or crochet 2 small circles to stitch in place instead to avoid a possible choking hazard.

Tongue:
Using a scrap of light pink yarn,
Ch3, 5hdc in first ch, finish off and sew to head.

Work 10sc.
Your piece should now be an oval shape. With the right side of your work facing out, fold your oval in half so that your starting chain runs across the bottom of your piece.
