I wasn’t exactly how large this ought to be, but I’ve read that woven wool shawls are generally about 60” square. I aimed for a shawl 60” along the striped edges but ended up with one that measured 70” along those edges since I didn’t check first to see how deep the fifty rows in the border would be. That being said, the shawl measures 36” along the center back from the neck edge to the beginning of the stripes and 44.5” from the neck edge to the point.
