I impulsively ordered this kit that I’ve been coveting for a while now. The plan is to knit the whole thing in the round (including sleeves) with a 9 stitch steek down the front so I can avoid seaming dark yarn and tiny stitches, and avoid weaving in ends. I hope this plan works.

Finished the yoke on August 30, started the back today.

Finished the back on Oct 19. Started both fronts the same day, separately knitting the short row & increase sections of each before knitting both at the same time.

Finished both fronts. Messed up kitchener BO on left side but I wasn’t going to undo & fix it; you can’t even really tell unless you’re me & you know what you did.

Started the sleeves somewhere around Jan 9 or 10. As with the fronts, I’m doing them 2 at a time so when they’re done, the knitting of the sweater will be done, I’ll just have seaming and button sewing.

Finished the sleeves! On to seaming.

Seams done, buttons sewn. A note on the yoke: I’m not sure why it’s not knit in the round for all the raglan sleeve increases; instead, you split the arms, the fronts, and the back right after finishing the yoke and seam everything together at the end. Perhaps to give the armholes more sturdiness, but still, it would have been easier to knit the raglan line in the round with the yoke. (A lot of words to say something pretty simple.) Also, I knit the whole thing according to instruction except for the double-sided collar; instead of seaming that at the end, I knit a live stitch with a CO stitch to close the seam (I hope that makes sense). Otherwise, I knit everything else flat, not in the round, and seamed. So much seaming.
