Got this kit for Christmas in the warm palette sampler! Yay! Thanks Mama! Knitting during Fair Isle February 2011.

1/31 Cast on 240 sts with the crochet cast on… and called it a night for this project. Why can I not get excited about it? I’m using leftover Handmaiden Sea Silk for the waste yarn… and now all I want to do is work with more of that.

After allowing this project to “rest” after the knit back and forth section had sucked my soul, I finally picked this up and finished the first welt on 8/18/14. Yes, 2014. Now, just gotta do that provisional cast on and the colorwork in the round can begin. And maybe the colorwork won’t suck out my soul.
