I decided to use the full skein--well, give or take a yard or three. The pattern was easy to remember, so this was a great carry about knit.
I tried a stretchy bind off but it was too loose. I took out the last two rows because I wanted to redo the purl row so that it was a bit tighter.
A loose cast off, coupled with the tighter purl row worked well.
A little scarf that will be great for the fall.
