There is no pattern as these mittens are bought but I thought it would be a super easy and cute project for a friend who will have her first baby soon. And indeed, it was super easy AND cute!

If you’re interested in the details: I cast on 40 st with DPNs that I usually use for sock knitting. I knitted ca. 3 cm in ribs, then another 4 cm in stocking stitch. Then I started decreasing 4 st per round as if I was knitting the toe part of socks (you can see where I got all my ideas from!) until 8 st were left. I grafted the remaining stitches, crocheted the string and embroidered the eyes and nose with black yarn and a tapestry needle. Voilà!
