A lot of swatching has preceded this project because I wanted to be sure that it fits and that the colours match. I’m using some of my Latvian yarn from the stash which does not correspond 100 % to the colours in the pattern so I had to alter some of it. I hope that I have now found the right combination and size. I also decided to try and make it a cardigan instead of vest, depending on how much yarn I have left. I will knit it in the round with a steek instead of the pattern suggestion to work in two different parts.
Update 12/08/2015
The bodice is done and I started the first sleeve. At this point I’m asking myself: why do I always choose the most time-consuming patterns if I actually just want to see quick results?! I’m such an impatient person so why exactly am I sitting here with my tiny 2 mm needles squinting over the miniscule stitches?? I hope the answer will come before I abandon the project….
Update 25/09/2015
The project is now officially in hibernation until I have figured out a better way to knit the sleeves. I started knitting them by taking up the stitches from the armhole but now I have to lug around the whole sweater to knit one sleeve (and keep on turning it to avoid twisting). Too complicated and seriously annoying.

This project has been officially abandoned. It was not even on my radar anymore and when I moved house I found it and decided to throw it out.
