Updated 1/23: I shared the stitch pattern I used for my version on my blog here (or follow the pattern link above).

I’m thinking to make a crochet version of Kristen Cooper’s conceptual knitting pattern recipe.
Until I decide, here is where my temperature recordings (daily high) will live. (Source: AccuWeather.)

Updated 4/2: I’ve finished through March, and switched over to hdc for spring (starting with the 3/21 row).
Updated 5/25: I’ve finished through May 24. I’ve now used all skeins but the Cove.
Updated 11/15: I’ve finished through June 22 and now I’ve used all skeins.
Updated 11/16: I’ve finished through September 6. It turns out that there are A LOT OF days where I need to use the Aella (I guess there were more 75-87 degree days than other temperature ranges), so I switched back from dc to sc on 8/15, but it looks like I may run out of Aella. I don’t really want to rip back and make the whole scarf sc because I actually like the look of the different stitch textures. But what to do when I run out of that yarn??
Updated 12/7: I decided to pick up another skein of yarn on Small Business Saturday, an exclusive colorway of madelinetosh vintage that is only sold locally. Since I’m now wrapped up in holiday gift-making madness, I’ll have a few weeks to think about whether I want to split the temperature range 75-87 degrees in half (using each yarn for a different temp range) or just use the Aella until it runs out and then switch to the Midnight in Manhattan.
Updated 1/6/14: I decided to do half of the 75-87 degree days with Aella and half with Midnight in Manhattan. (If you can believe it, there were 88 such days in 2013.) I ripped back to August and started in with the Midnight in Manhattan. I’m not sure I love it’s intense darkness next to the other colors but I decided to keep trucking. I’m now back at September 8.
Updated 1/7/14: Snuck in some crocheting during a conference call and made it through September 28. Only 94 days to go!
Updated 1/8/14: I made it through December 17.
Updated 1/9/14: Wow, what a fun adventure. The crocheting’s all done - now I just need to weave in lots and lots and lots of ends, block it, and pick out some buttons…
Updated 1/11/14: All the many many ends are woven in, and the wonky half of the scarf is blocking. Though I still haven’t decided about buttons, I’m now considering this officially finished.
