I came across these squares that I originally made for the 2014 BAMCAL and thought I might use them up by making a throw for my best friend Carole. It is her birthday on Sunday and I could easily get 6 more squares made and a border done by then - right!!!!

I made her this throw last year and she loved it so much she was taking it from the lounge to bedroom each night, so I thought she might like a nice new one to save her the trouble this winter.

She so deserves it, she works so hard and is such a lovely person.

Friday: Finished all of the squares, I have finished each square with either lime or meadow and have added a granny cluster border around each with the alternative colour on each square. All ready for the final cream jayg (join as you go) border tomorrow.

I will be sad to have this finished, it has been nice getting back to making each square with a different pattern, I had forgotten how much fun it is.

Decided to add two rounds of cream to each square and have joined them all together. Now for the outer border.

Border:

Went around the whole blanket another couple of times and then did a round of tilted granny clusters as follows:

For the corner I worked 3 dc, ch 2, 3 dc. then 1 dc into next space in between clusters, ch 3 and work 3 dc around the post of the 1st dc.
